WHAT WE LIKE
Actually, we’re excited for knowing that Calphalon has launched new mid-price line, Classic Stainless Steel. Yet, don’t ever underestimated this for the price as its cooking performance is still acceptable for Calpalon standard. Like other mid-range cookware, it’s made of brushed stainless steel with impact-bonded aluminum bases for boosting up cooking quality. The cooking performance is nice. It heats up fast and lets beautiful searing and evenly cooking. It allows for most stoves, includes induction. Also, the pans are broiler-, oven- and dishwasher-safe up to 500 degrees F. The construction makes really feel sturdy like pricier models. The pans aren’t easily scratched by utensils and dishwasher. The weight in hand is good, not junky or heavy. Another impressive point, we also love the indicators inside the pots and pour feature. As the covers have straining holes with pour sprouts, it makes easy to drain liquid without using colander, which make extremely convenience. This feature looks much like the Easy System line. Say, in our view, this cookware stands out above rivals, such as Cuisinart and T-Fal, for the price ranges (under $200 for 10 pieces in retail price) for cooking performance, practical design and material quality. The design is classically beautiful. Moreover, it carries 10-year warrantee, real bonus. WHAT WE DON’T LIKE
We’ve found many users blamed about food stick, especially for eggs or cheeses that makes difficult to clean. We’ve also seen some complaints about discoloration, which usually be found in mid-price pans. For these issues, we recommended fixing by Bar Keeper’s Friend or similar products. The Verdict
