Honestly, the cooking performance can’t be compared to the top models for fastness, heat efficiency and safety, it can nicely get the simple jobs done—it lets preparing rice, pastas, baked potatoes, side dishes or steam vegies easily.

MOST VALUE
This SilverStone microwave cooker has a good compromise of cooking ability, safety and price. This BPA-free pot performs in acceptable range. Say, since having lower pressure level than the higher-tier products, like the Kuhn Rikon and Tupperware, the performance is inferior (but better than others in the same price range). Still, it works impressively for quickly steam-cooking, making rice, cooking vegies and making beans, or improving flavor and speed of regular microwaved meals.
The construction is well-made, secure and safe to use. A value-buying.

Nordic Ware Microwave Tender Cooker
This Nordic Ware Microwave Tender is a former is this market, and still works well. Though the cooking performance isn’t as good as the top models, it can cook nicely as advertised. This US-made cooker can cook 3-pound meat, vegetable, grain, or pasta in 30 minutes or less—delivering tender and tasty results for a small meal or side dishes but is especially excellent for rice cooking.
The material parts are good and all dishwasher safe. The lid is a bit tricky to open after pressuring.
