WHAT WE LIKE
For those home cooks who won’t have a peace of mind of using traditional Teflon nonstick, the Tramontina Gourmet Ceramica-01 Deluxe is really an interesting and reasonable choice. Made in Italy from heavy-gauge porcelain enameled aluminum, this ceramic coat serves the duty of being truly nonstick surfaces without oils or butters. It’s safe for gas, ceramic, glass, halogen and electric cooktops. The cooking performance is pretty satisfied, evenly and easy to use. As aluminum core with smooth surfaces, some of our experiments of omelets are quite good, no sticking and no staining, while does great in browning and sautéing. Still, like most nonstick cookware, the Ceramica-01 deluxe works well for low temperature. It’s oven-safe up to 350 degree F, which pretty low comparing to some products in the same ranges, but still sufficient for most daily recipes. The whole construction feels solid and well-built. The porcelain enamel finishes outside are designed for more scratch- and chip-resistant. The weight in hand is good balance, not light or heavy. It comes with glass lids, which are preferable for most home chefs. The cast stainless-steel handles are wrapped by silicon for better ergonomic and heat resistance. Plus, it can go into dishwasher, as well as cleanup breezily by hand washing. The overall look of whole set is beautiful with black and white color in contemporary style. Also, lifetime warrantee (under manufacturer’s instructions) is another impressive point. WHAT WE DON’T LIKE
Though it’s tough construction, the ceramic coats inside still required suitable maintenance like traditional nonstick, such as no metal tools, no high temperature, no scratchy scrub and no cooking spray. It don’t have sauté pan, but comes with 11” covered pan instead. It’s not compatible for induction. The Verdict
